Xavier Escobedo: An introduction

My name is Xavier Escobedo, I was born and raised in El Paso TX, and currently attending the College of business administration at the University of Texas El Paso. Like most people that were raised in El Paso, I am proud to say that I am fluent in both English and Spanish and hoping to learn a third language by the time I graduate.

School is very important to me for many reasons. I believe knowledge is power and without some type of education you won’t get far in life. As our society evolves and becomes accustomed to new and advanced technology, it becomes more difficult to succeed in life with just a high school diploma or an associate’s degree. I also believe in doing what makes you happy in life and with that said you will have it all. I’d rather be happy by doing what I love and live like the average American than have a great paying job that I despise. I am not too sure in what I would like to major in but I have some kind of idea like marketing or international business, but my main goal is to decide by the end of this year.

Even though I don’t have a lot of hobbies, I enjoy a variety of sports and activities. The reason why is because I cannot stick to one activity for too long. Even though I like jumping from one thing to another, I always find myself being skillful in many different things.
